Staebler Insurance is excited to support the University of Waterloo Library with a $100,000 gift to help provide accessible education with OER (Open Education Resource) Fellows Grants.
This five-year initiative coincides with our 150th Anniversary and pays tribute to our organization’s longstanding tradition of lifelong learning and continuing education. The UWaterloo program started in 2022 and offers grants to instructors to help create an open education resource (OER) for their course.
“We are honoured to provide this gift to the University of Waterloo Library in support of their OER Fellows Grant initiative,” said Joanna Mendonca, President, Staebler Insurance. “This contribution toward open educational resources is our humble contribution toward reducing material costs for students and supporting instructors in the creation of course-tailored resources.”
