Florida Highway Patrol won’t enforce international driver’s permit rule

International Driver’s licence rule on hold

For now, Florida will not be enforcing the new law requiring drivers to carry an International Driver’s Permit.  If you are planning a trip to Florida and renting a vehicle, we highly suggest contacting your rental car company to confirm their licence requirements.
