As part of our 150th anniversary as a Kitchener-Waterloo-based insurance brokerage, our organization is committed to making $150,000 in charitable donations and community givebacks throughout the year.

In addition, all employees can participate in an unlimited number of volunteer days throughout all of 2023. This gives everyone the opportunity to give their time and resources to the organizations that matter most to them all year long.

Throughout these past 150 years, Staebler Insurance has grown with and adapted with Waterloo Region – so when it comes time to give back, we want those donations to be put into the community that our staff and clients live in.

Our first in-person community event of the year is the Coldest Night of the Year Walk on Saturday, February 25.  In support of Ray of Hope Community Centre in Kitchener, our Staebler 150 Team has a strong turnout and has surpassed their team goal of $5,500.  There’s still time to help them out! As part of being a long-time insurance brokerage, we have many long-standing relationships with our insurer partners and industry friends. With matching programs and other initiatives as part of our 150 Anniversary give back, our partners will be instrumental to maximizing our impact to local organizations.

So far, our staff-run Charity and Community Involvement Committee has identified several key organizations to focus on this year.  A few of these organizations include:

• A Better Tent City
• Food4Kids
• Food Bank of Waterloo Region
• Nutrition For Learning
• Tiny Home Takeout
